Some things in life are just meant to go together and when two people are as fun and fun loving as Sarah & Matt, they tend to find each other.  When this gorgeous bride and groom met, they were soon smitten.  They started dating, and it didn’t take long before they knew they wanted to choose each other as life partners.

Matt and Sarah spent time getting to know one another: their hopes, dreams, fears, families, friends, and all the little nuances of personalities. Family and friends from all over the country couldn’t stop hearing from Matt about “this girl” and from Sarah about “this boy.” Those that knew the beautiful couple best knew this had to be serious and could only mean one thing. . .

The wedding day. Nothing can prepare a heart for the day it will forever be linked to another. The setting was gorgeous, the industrial Mavris Arts & Events Center never disappoints.  Though the weather did not cooperate and brought all of the elements, the bride and groom simply enjoyed their friends, family and most importantly, each other.  The reception absolutely brought the house down as everyone (I mean EVERYONE) was on their feet and dancing the night away to DJ MR Kinetic, Mark Williams.  It was truly one of the best parties!

Congratulations Sarah & Matt!  Thank you for including us in your day!

Cheers!

Ryan & Brooke

If you remember Angela and Scott from their playful and romantic engagement photos, then you know this couple would only have the most extraordinary and elegant wedding. Well, the day finally arrived, and every exquisite detail of this celebration lived up to expectations.

Angela and Scott were married in the historic Union Station in Indianapolis. The dramatic soaring ceiling and elegant curves of the Romanesque architecture made the perfect backdrop for the timeless beauty of their celebration. Golden twinkle lights framed their ceremony, which featured a sophisticated color selection of red and black.

Angela was a stunning bride in every way, from her soft chignon to the bows on the toes of her satin pumps. But the detail that truly completed her look was her brilliant smile when she spied her groom as she walked down the aisle. Scott was dapper in a slim black tuxedo, and his tearful joy at the first glimpse of his bride was a tender peek into the devotion this couple shares.

Like a jewel that is placed in the most perfect box, this wedding gleamed in its unique and elegant venue. Surrounded by their attendants, who were dressed in classic outfits of red and black, Angela and Scott exchanged their vows. Their friends and family watched with joy as they began their forever together, and love and beauty came together in a magic moment.

Setting is always so important: a gorgeous barn with wooden beams and barn windows set in the midst of beautiful, lush Indiana farmland. Rustic but elegant; the perfect setting for a wedding.

However it’s the people that really make the scene, and in this case you couldn’t find two people more beautiful inside and out: Katie, with her lovely, kind smile that can brighten up any room, and Alex, who only has to look at her to show how deeply in love he is. Two people who were so clearly made for one another.

Married at the picturesque JLH Wedding Barn, surrounded by family and friends, it was impossible not to feel proud for the couple, as they exchanged their vows. Alex travels a lot for work, but these two know that a true bond of love stretches across any distance, no matter how far. They were an example to us all.

Blue and pink colors were used throughout the wedding, colors that together symbolize trust, loyalty, and tenderness. Three words that beautifully describe Alex and Katie’s relationship.

It’s always a joyful occasion to attend a friend’s wedding, but to document the day for them was doubly special. To be able to capture so many familiar and beloved faces, as together we celebrated Katie and Alex, was a blessing I wouldn’t have missed for the world. I was honored and touched to be able to memorialize this moment for Katie, thank you for our years of friendship.

It was the perfect couple, in the perfect setting. Truly the day was picture perfect.

Like true love, the perfect day for a photo shoot is sometimes hard to find. But it is worth the wait for just the right person, and just the right day. Erin and Josh are a couple who were able to find both, and the joy they show as they look at each other makes it all worthwhile.

Although Erin and Josh were excited to take their engagement photos, the weather was not cooperating. This photo shoot had to be rescheduled a few times while we waited for better conditions. Once the perfect day arrived, they were happy to get out in the fresh air and show their love under trees that were bright with autumn colors. The cozy atmosphere of falling leaves and cozy jackets only added to the bubble they are in, wrapped up in each other and their future together.

As they walk through falling leaves or sit on steps with their arms entwined, it’s easy to see the comfort and devotion between these two. Their eyes are drawn to each other, and they make each other laugh. Taking pictures of a couple that is so at ease with each other is a treat.

As Erin and Josh share whispered exchanges and then walk away, hand-in-hand, into all the wonder and possibility of a cultural district like Mass Ave, they are on their way into the adventure of a life together. Their wedding will be next year, at the stunning Indiana Roof Ballroom. Although they can’t wait for that day, in the meantime Erin and Josh will enjoy each other, the beauty around them, and the rewards of waiting for just the right one.

Sarah and Matt met at work. Now, if you think that sounds like the beginning of an ordinary romance, you haven’t met this couple or seen the loving way they look at each other. They started on the same team at work; now they’ve decided to be on the same team for life. What blossomed in an everyday setting is now the extraordinary beginning of a lifetime shared. This is the kind of love that can even overcome the fact that Sarah is a Colt’s fan while Matt roots for the Packers.

Sarah and Matt’s engagement pictures were taken in downtown Indianapolis, on the canal. This is a favorite place they like to escape to together, to go for a run or just wander, hand in hand, as they look forward to their future. Even though it’s in the heart of the city, the setting seems miles away from everyday life, as though they are in a world of their own. In their engagement photos, this couple seems to be traveling together through their own private landscape, from sunshine to shadow, under the grandeur of willow trees or framed by elegant stonework. As the glassy water slides by or you glimpse the city rising in the background, still the most beautiful element is their eyes, meeting each other’s in love.

The wedding will also take place downtown, at The Mavris Arts and Event Center. Matt, a huge Michael Jordan fan, is excited that the day of the wedding happens to be Jordan’s birthday. One look at his face in these pictures makes it clear, though, that his full attention is going to be on his beautiful bride that day, no matter whose birthday it is. It’s going to be a perfect day, full of the love these two have for each other.
