After years of practical experience in wedding photography, we decided it was time to expand our horizons. To showcase our photography, as well as smoothly integrate our new video service, we finally did that styled shoot that we have had in the back of our minds for a while now. It gave us the chance to sort of plan our own weddings again and with the help from fellow vendor friends we were able to gather some beautiful details. From rose gold silverware, a vintage dress which fit the bride perfectly, and the Balmoral House being a beautiful venue it all came together just as we had envisioned. The simplicity and elegance of everything fit what we were striving for but is also a perfect representation of the Vow & Forever experience.
With our new husband and wife video team, more on that in another post, we packed up and headed for the Balmoral House which is a fantastic new venue in Fishers. This shoot gave us the unique opportunity to explore our creativity. A real wedding is like a live TV broadcast, it does not always allow you the time to properly explore new ideas. Using well designed sets and professional models, this styled shoot was the perfect opportunity to refine our technique. Just like a real wedding, not everything went according to plan. One of the female models came up unexpectedly sick. To everyone’s delight, and without hesitation, the venue coordinator, Grace, jumped right in to fill the void. She did a wonderful job and the day was a complete success.
As we expected, our videographers, Brett and Michaela did not disappoint! They hit the ground running, and showed us what a great addition they will be to the Vow & Forever team and for our clients. Another post soon to follow with the video so stay tuned!
